DAS PROJEKT

Eine Fläche von nicht weniger als 400.000 Quadratmetern - damit lässt sich viel anfangen. Sehr viel. Kein Wunder also, dass für das Gelände dieser ehemaligen Mülldeponie reihenweise Nutzungspläne aufgestellt wurden. Im Jahr 2016 wurde der letzte Abschnitt mit Trisoplast abgedeckt, um anschließend für neue Zwecke genutzt zu werden.

Vom Mud Run bis zur Villa

Ob Mountainbike-Wettfahrten, Querfeldeinrennen, Wettlaufveranstaltungen oder der Bau von Luxusvillen: Eines ist klar, das Gebiet Vlagheide in Schijndel ist für verschiedenste Zwecke sehr gefragt. Deshalb ist es äußerst wichtig, dass die ehemalige Mülldeponie - jetzt und in Zukunft - optimal abgedeckt ist und keinerlei Gefahr für Anwohner und Sportfans darstellt. Gefordert ist daher eine felsenfeste Abdichtung. Die aber zugleich so flexibel und chemikalienbeständig ist, dass sie sich auf unterschiedlichen Untergründen anbringen lässt. Das Gelände lag voll mit Abfällen: von Formsand und Bodenasche bis hin zu Stahlschlacken und Bildröhrenglas. Wir haben uns mit Freude dieser Aufgabe gewidmet und sie schwungvoll zu einem erfolgreichen Abschluss gebracht. Das Gelände besitzt heute eine positive Funktion für die Umgebung. Dazu erklärt Arend van de Pol, der als Projektleiter an den Arbeiten beteiligt war: "Wer hätte sich das vor zehn Jahren erträumt: Aus einer Müllkippe ist ein beliebter Ort geworden, und direkt daneben entstehen Luxusvillen. Wir haben dabei mitgeholfen, das zu schaffen. Und darauf sind wir auch ein wenig stolz!"
