At Trisoplast and GID Milieutechniek, we strongly believe in sustainability in the broadest sense. We always try to develop future-proof and environmentally friendly solutions as part of lasting relationships with our customers. These goals came together nicely in the project we carried out for Delta Milieu in Nieuwdorp.

Twenty-five years in the lining business

More than two decades ago – in 1997 to be exact – GID Milieutechniek (the Dutch company responsible for installing Trisoplast) laid down the bottom liner of a new landfill for North and Central Zeeland. Trisoplast had only been around for three years but was already proving its added value: rapid on-site production, easy to install, extremely tough and unparalleled sealing properties.
In 2007, ten years and a mountain of waste later, the customer asked us to install an intermediate liner over a portion of the landfill to extend its useful life, and another ten years later, in 2017, a third Trisoplast bottom liner was laid down for a new landfill of more than 25,000 m2.

Perfect trilogy

The Trisoplast bottom liner, intermediate liner and a top liner of 87,000 m2 scheduled for 2018 will together form a perfect trilogy, providing optimum protection of the soil, air and ground and surface water.
